BIO and fun facts about Shiori...

Shiori was born and raised in the heart of Tokyo, Japan. Growing up, she always knew she wanted to be a "performer" to entertain people. She started dancing when her parents can remember her starting to walk. Began training in classic ballet at age of 3, then gradually her love of dance grew stronger and now, dancing is something indispensable to her. She told her parents that she would move to New York and follow her dream when she was only 7 and surprised them by really making a part of her dream come true. She moved to NY soon after graduating from high school in Tokyo at age of 18 and earned a BA in Theater Arts with Theater Performance concentration and Musical Theater minor at Marymount Manhattan College(Class of 2014).

Shiori considers herself as "Artivest(Activist+Artist)" devoting her arts for a good cause and social change. She was recently featured in Comfort Women, new Off Broadway musical at St.Clement Theater which tells a historical story of sex slaves during WW II. She is an active member of V-worriers at The Forth Universalist Society where "V-day" by Eve Ensler(Playwright of Vagina Monologues) takes place raising fund to stop violence against women and kids. Shiori is also a founding member of The Collective Sex creating an interactive theater experiences where young generation can safely share their stories and support one another.

Shiori has performed in various theater productions based in NY and NJ and  been also featured in various commercials, shot films and web series. Her love for acting has grown more over the years as she worked with several professional productions and she is even more determined to devote all of her energy for this career.  Now she is working to expand her work in TV and feature films as well.   

Shiori's talent is not limited only in performing but she is also a professional costume designer for various dance companies, theaters and film productions. She holds BA degree in Costume Design.
